The Website Is Finally Starting to Feel Like Home
For the past few weeks, I have been slowly building this website page by page, section by section, and honestly, it has been some of the most fun I have had with a creative project in a very long time.
Most of my days are usually spent building websites for clients, so getting to create something entirely for myself has felt different in the best way possible. Instead of focusing on someone else's branding, colors, and vision, I have been able to build a space that feels like me. Every little detail, from the dark starry backgrounds to the soft pink accents and moon-inspired touches, has been carefully chosen to make this place feel welcoming.
One of my favorite additions so far has been the donation goals section. What started as a simple idea quickly turned into one of the most satisfying features on the entire site. Watching the progress bars fill, seeing the numbers update correctly, and getting everything connected behind the scenes was surprisingly fun.
The thing that makes me smile the most is that the goals update automatically. Every minute, the website quietly checks for changes and refreshes the progress information on its own. Visitors do not have to manually refresh the page to see updated totals or progress bars. The site simply handles everything in the background and keeps itself current.
Sometimes the smallest features end up being the ones you are most proud of.
Looking back now, it's honestly hard to believe how much has been accomplished. The homepage is finished, the Health Library has grown into something I am genuinely proud of, the journal system is fully working, the lore page is in place, and all of the little features that once existed only as ideas are finally part of the site. What started as a collection of sketches, notes, and late-night ideas has turned into a complete website.
More than anything, this project became exactly what I hoped it would be. A place that feels personal. A place where I can share my health journey, my creative projects, my streams, my thoughts, and all the things that make me who I am. It took a lot of work to get here, but seeing everything come together has made every hour worth it.
