Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

What Is PCOS?

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal and metabolic condition that can affect the reproductive system, insulin regulation, and many other aspects of overall health.

Living With PCOS

PCOS affects much more than the ovaries. It can influence hormone levels, metabolism, insulin sensitivity, weight, energy levels, skin, hair growth, and reproductive health.

Symptoms can vary from person to person but often include irregular menstrual cycles, ovarian cysts, weight gain or difficulty losing weight, acne, excess hair growth, fatigue, and fertility challenges.

For me, PCOS has been another piece of a much larger health puzzle. It affects how my body regulates hormones and can make weight management and overall health feel significantly more complicated than they might appear from the outside.

Living with PCOS often means managing symptoms that are both physical and emotional. Many of the challenges are invisible, yet they can have a major impact on confidence, comfort, and everyday life.

Like many chronic conditions, PCOS requires ongoing management and adaptation. While there is no cure, understanding the condition and learning how my body responds has helped me better navigate the challenges that come with it.
